2019 Motorfest & International Sports Car & Classic Show CANCELLED
The organisers of the 2019 Motorfest & International Sports Car & Classic Show, planned to take place at the Peterborough Showground May 25-27 have cancelled the event.
The news was revealed on the venue's website with the statement: "It is with regret that the organiser of Motorfest 2019 has cancelled the event due to circumstances beyond its control. If you have any questions please contact the organiser direct, below is their letter to exhibitors."
"As the venue we have no further information that we can provide, please contact the organiser."
The venue also carried a statement from the event organisers themselves dated May 10:
"It is with much sadness that we have had to announce the cancellation of the 2019 Motorfest & International Sports Car & Classic Show.
"We have tried everything within our power to keep the show alive but due to circumstances beyond our control this has not been possible.
"Over the next 14 days we will issue all exhibitors and ticket holders with full refunds and would ask that you are patient whilst we undertake this huge task.
"No words will express our sincerest apologies and we would like to thank you for the support that you have given the event this year.
"We will be calling all exhibitors over the coming days to explain the reasons for the cancellation."
The organisers - International Sports Car and Classic Ltd. - based out of Roydon, Essex, have not, however, as yet carried the news on their own website or Facebook pages. CMM was contacted by one worried would-be exhibitor who said he'd not heard anything from the organisers since booking a stand at the event.
